ABOUT JUMEIRAH LAKE TOWERS

Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) is a popular high-rise residential and commercial district, stretching over 3km along Sheikh Zayed Road, boasting world-class hotels, parks, restaurants, outdoor gyms and play areas, basketball courts, educational spaces, and plenty of activities for families and professionals alike.

The tallest tower and the centerpiece of the entire complex is Almas Tower which is situated on its own island between Lake Almas West and Lake Almas East. The completion of Saba Tower in December 2006 marked the first tower to be completed in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. The majority of construction took place in 2008.

JLT Developer

The master community of JLT is designed and managed by Nakheel. A government-owned entity Nakheel is one of Dubai’s biggest developers and the company behind well-known communities such as the Palm Jumeirah and Jumeirah Islands. With that said most of the projects within JLT are built by other developers who acquired land there at one stage or another. Some of the more recently active developers include Damac, Ellington, and Sobha Realty.

JLT is conveniently located next to two major highways, including Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road. It’s a comment with various entry and exit points making it easy for residents to access other parts of Dubai. Furthermore, the JLT community is serviced by not one but two metro stations: Jumeriah Lake Towers Station and Dubai Marina Station. Both of these are on the “Red Line” of Dubai Metro and make this one of the better-connected communities in Dubai.

By public transport

With two Dubai Metro stations, JLT is easy to reach via the city’s mass transit system: take any Red Line train, and head to DMCC Metro Station for the southern part of JLT, or Sobha Reality Metro Station for the northern end.

By car

JLT is located alongside Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), Dubai’s main highway, making it straight-forward to get to by car. Heading from either central Dubai or Jebel Ali, you can take exit 32 to route D61 to get to JLT’s northern end, or exit 29 and route D59 for the southern part of JLT.

It’s also easy to reach JLT from Dubai’s other highways, with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) close to the district’s southern end, and the start of Al Khail Road (E44) close to JLT’s north end. Within Jumeirah Lakes Towers the main roads are First Al Khail Street on the landward (rear) side of the area, and Al Sarayat Street, which runs parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road, on the seaward side.
